INAUGURAL IRON-MAN CHALLENGE SERIES IS SET!

Myton, Utah (December 26, 2010)- Have you ever thought of racing 10 races in 10 days?, well here is your chance to do so. 10 races at 5 different tracks has been scheduled for 10 straight days across Northern Nevada for IMCA Modifieds.

The series will debut at the Rattlesnake Raceway in Fallon, Nevada on Thursday, June 9th and Friday, June 10th during the annual Octane Fest special. Then on Saturday, June 11th and Sunday, June 12th, the series will stop at the Lovelock Speedway in Lovelock, Nevada.

Monday, June 13th and Tuesday June 14th the series will be at the Winnemucca Regional Raceway in Winnemucca, Nevada and then the series heads to Battle Mountain Raceway in Battle Mountain, Nevada on Wednesday, June 15th and Thursday, June 16th which will be a points race for the IMCS (Iron-Man Challenge Series) and the WWMT.

The series will conclude at the Great Basin Raceway in Ely, Nevada on Friday, June 17th and Saturday, June 18th

The series will be run under the EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour & IMCA rules. The top two in the series final-standings is invited to run in the 2011 Wild West Modified Tour Top 20 Showdown.

We are going to visit all of the tracks in March to deliver transponder loops. We will get all of the track information then and post it for all that want to go and play in June.

Evenson Law Office is the official title sponsor of the IMCS and a contingency sponsor from the Western region is making each race $1000 to win no matter the car count.

FALLON, Nev. – Ten $1,000 to win features for IMCA Modifieds are on the ticket for the Evenson Law Office Ironman Challenge Series.

The inaugural tour takes traveling IMCA Modifieds to five Nevada tracks from Thursday, June 9 to Saturday, June 18. An anonymous sponsor has guaranteed the $1,000 payout each night, making each race a qualifying event for the 2012 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.

Any program with 40 or more Modifieds entered generates an additional $250 for the series point fund, to be paid out to top 10 drivers in final point standings. National, ButlerBuilt Western Region and Allstar Performance Nevada State points will be awarded each night.

“This is a win-win scenario for the drivers,” Tour Director Ken Hansen said, citing the combination of nightly payouts and the point fund, along with the opportunity for drivers to race for points on 10 consecutive nights.

The series debuts at Rattlesnake Raceway in Fallon June 9-10 during the Octane Fest special, then travels to Lovelock Speedway June 11-12 and to Winnemucca Regional Raceway June 13-14.

Shows June 15-16 at Battle Mountain Raceway double as EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Tour races. The series concludes at Great Basin Raceway in Ely on June 17-18.

All IMCA rules and Wild West Tour procedures will be in effect. The top two drivers in final point standings will be invited to compete in the WWMT Showdown during the November Duel In The Desert at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The champion will be eligible to qualify for the Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals in September.

Tour sponsor Steven Evenson is a long-time IMCA Modified driver and practices personal injury, criminal defense and family law matters in all of the five communities where series events will be held.
