Inaugural WWMT Pit Crew Challenge is set for 2011!
Myton, UT. (May 11, 2011)- The Inaugural WWMT Pit Crew Challenge will take place at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Cortez, Colorado during the EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour race on August 13th at Noon.
EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour drivers will do battle to see who has the fastest pit crew on the circuit. All that it will take is one crew member from each team and the driver.
The Challenge will be based on who changes one tire the quickest. (All procedures are posted below)
$10 is the entry fee for the crew, driver, and the car.
Driver / Crew Meeting will be held at 11:30 am and the Challenge will start at 12:00 noon.
It is possible that the champions of the challenge will be rewarded a brand new cordless impact and second place will take home $100. All entries will go straight to the purse payout for 3rd place and down the ranks.
More information will be released as soon as it becomes available.

PROCEDURES AND RULES
Date: August 13, 2011
Track: Fairgrounds Speedway
Location: Cortez, Colorado
Driver/Crew Meeting Time: 11:30 am
Challenge Time: 12:00 noon
Sign-Up & Registration Fee: $10 per car, all entry fees earned will go to the purse. You must be registered with the WWMT to participate. You have up until 5 minutes after the Driver/Crew Meeting to sign up for the event.
Pit Crew Challenge Procedures
1- Running order will be determined by pill draw. (Must have pill drawn 5 minutes after the Driver/Crew Meeting)
2- The driver will drive the car into the “Competition Area”, (You can keep the car running if you would like)
3- The crew member will then head to the back of the car and must jack the car up from the rear-end. (The time will start as soon as the car comes to a stop in the “Competition Area”)
4- When BOTH tires are off the ground, the crew man will take the tire off (LR or RR) and replace it with another tire that the team will supply. (You must use the jack and impact that is supplied)
5- As soon as the tire is on, the crew man will head to the back of the car and will let the car down, as soon as the car hit’s the ground, the driver will pull away and cross the “line” and the time will stop.
6- The car will be checked in post tech just to see if all of the lugs are tight.

*You must jack the car up from the rear of the car. You must jack up the rear-end. Your time will start as soon as you start jacking the car up.
*You must use the supplied jack and the supplied impact
*You must pick one crew member to do the competition. The driver will be in the car.
*You must have all five lug nuts on the car when your competition starts and ends. All lugs must be tight when you put the other tire on. Time will be added if lugs are loose in post tech.
