WILD WEST MODIFIED TOUR Weekend Preview
Desert Thunder Raceway in Price, Utah
WHAT? Even though the points season is over for the 2011 EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour, it doesn't mean we are done racing.
The WWMT All-Star Race presented by Schaeffer's Specialized Lubricants is on hand during the Sixth annual Castle Country Clash at the Desert Thunder Raceway in Price, Utah on September 23rd & 24th
18 of the best WWMT drivers will race 20 laps for bragging rights on Saturday night after all the scheduled features. Justen Yeager of Green River, Wyoming and Travis Metz of Blackfoot, Idaho have won the previous races.
The race includes past WWMT champions, Top 20 Showdown Winners, Former All-Star Race Winners, Feature Winners from late 2010 and 2011, Fan Vote Winner, as well as the 2011 WWMT Rookie of the Year.
Drivers that are locked into the event include; Ricky Alvarado, Jeep Berry, Ryan Cotrell, Zane DeVilbiss, Michael Hale, Dustin Hansen, Travis Metz, Ron Moser, Cory Sample, Porter Smith, & Justen Yeager. They will be invited to attend the event.
Ricky Alvarado, Zane DeVilbiss, and Justen Yeager earned spots in the race by winning a WWMT Championship from the years 2007 to present. Yeager also has a victory in the All-Star Race which was in 2010.
Jeep Berry locked himself in the race by winning the 2007 WWMT Top 20 Showdown in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alvarado and Yeager have also won the showdown. Yeager in 2008 and Alvarado in 2009 & 2010
Travis Metz earned his spot by winning the Inaugural WWMT All-Star Race in 2009, Ron Moser was added to the list as he was voted in by the public for the second year in a row.
Michael Hale, Cory Sample, and Porter Smith joined the list by winning features in 2011. Along with Ryan Cotrell, as he won late in 2010. Then, Dustin Hansen locked himself in the race by being the 2011 EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour Rookie of the Year.
Joining them will be drivers that will have to run the WWMT All-Star Last Chance Race on Friday night. The 22 car field will include the top 16 in points that are not locked into the race, 4 drivers that have competed in the most WWMT races since 2007, and 2 randomly registered drivers.

Transfers will be taken out of that race to fill the 18 car field for Saturday. Chase Hansen of Myton, Utah and Mickey Stubbings of Helper, Utah are former winners of the last chance race.
All will take place this weekend in Price, Utah during the Castle Country Clash.
