ZANE DEVILBISS WINS THE WWMT ALL-STAR RACE PRESENTED BY SCHAEFFER’S SPECIALIZED LUBRICANTS!
PRICE, Utah (September 24, 2011)- Eighteen of some of the best EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour drivers clashed during the WWMT All-Star Race presented by Schaeffer’s Specialized Lubricants but it was Zane DeVilbiss that won the battle.
The Farmington, New Mexico flyer started fourth and took the lead from Michael Hale of West Valley City, Utah on the fifth lap and went on to win the race.
Dustin Hansen, Casey Delp, Michael Hale, and Austin Black rounded out the top five. Pole starter Ryan Cotrell earned the Hard Luck award as he was unable to start the race.
Four drivers advanced five positions to earn the Hard Charger Award. Casey Delp, Austin Black, Wyatt Howard, and Carson Vanderherp earned the award.
Wade Taylor of Spring Creek, Nevada won the 20 lap All-Star Race Last Chance Qualifier on Friday night which took the top twelve to the All-Star Race on Saturday night.
Casey Delp, Chase Hansen, Austin Black, Bert Beech, Rick Spangler, Wyatt Howard, Colten Vanderherp, Kelly Smith, Josh Smith, Ryan Spangler, and Derrick Ingle transferred out of the LCQ as well.
DeVilbiss became the third different winner of the event. Travis Metz the winner in 2009 and Justen Yeager the winner in 2010 were unable to attend as well as Ricky Alvarado, Cory Sample, & Porter Smith
