MYTON, Utah – Ten dates are on the upcoming EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Tour while nine dates are on the schedule for the Evenson Law Office Ironman Challenge Series.
Five doubleheaders comprise the sixth annual Wild West Tour for IMCA Modifieds, while the second annual Ironman Challenge Series runs from June 7-16 in Nevada.
June 13 has been designated an Ironman repair and relax day; both series run Friday and Saturday, June 15-16 at Great Basin Speedway in Ely.
The other four WWMT twinbills run on Fridays and Saturdays, starting May 18-19 at Sweetwater Speedway in Rock Springs, Wyo.
The tour is at Diamond Mountain Speedway in Vernal, Utah July 20-21 and at Atomic Motor Raceway in Atomic City, Idaho Aug. 24-25 before concluding Sept. 28-29 at Desert Thunder Raceway in Price, Utah.
Winners of features with car counts of 40 or more entries earn $1,000 while series events with fewer than 40 entries pay $750 to win. EQ and Evenson both provide $3,000 point funds to be paid to drivers in the series’ top 10 standings.
Ironman Challenge Series features all pay $1,000 to win. The rest of those dates include shows Thursday and Friday, June 7-8 at Rattlesnake Raceway in Fallon, Saturday and Sunday, June 9-10 at Lovelock Speedway, Monday and Tuesday, June 11-12 at Winnemucca Regional Raceway and Thursday, June 14 at Summit Raceway in Elko.
IMCA national, Western Region, Allstar Performance State and special series points will be awarded at all events. The champion of each series earn as many as 20 bonus points, applied toward 2012 national and regional standings, and will be eligible to qualify for the Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions at the 2012 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals.
RACEceivers and transponders will be required at all series events.
All features paying $1,000 to win are 2012 or 2013 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events.
