WILD WEST MODIFIED TOUR Weekend Preview
Sweetwater Speedway in Rock Springs, Wyoming
WHAT? The 2012 EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour season is now underway as the series will hit the Sweetwater Speedway in Rock Springs, Wyoming. This will be the first time in series history that the opener will be in the state of Wyoming.
Justen Yeager of Green River, Wyoming won the last two EQ IMCA Wild West Modified Tour races as he swept championship weekend in Atomic City, Idaho. He also racked up another series championship in 2011.
He will start his championship defense at his home track this season. Last year, Zane DeVilbiss of Farmington, New Mexico drove his way to victory for the first time at Sweetwater and Yeager found himself in victory circle the following night.
Former champions of the series are expected to be in attendance. 2011 & 2009 champion Justen Yeager, 2010 champion Zane DeVilbiss, and 2008 & 2007 champion Ricky Alvarado.
Will a former champion dominate the season opener or will there be a surprise? Head up to Sweetwater Speedway to find out.
