IMPERIAL, Calif. – Imperial Valley Speedway’s eighth annual Armstrong-Evans Memorial Classic does double duty as a doubleheader for the Rotating Right Wild West Modified Southern Tour. Both Saturday and Sunday, March 14-15 IMCA Modified main events pay $1,200 to win. The top driver in points for the two-day special earns a $600 bonus and also joins the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. All applicable IMCA points will be awarded. Twenty-four cars will take the green flag in each feature, both of which pay a minimum of $50 to start. Entry fee is $100 if received by March 1 or $150 after that date. Pit passes are $40. Grandstand admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and children ages 6-12, and $4 for military personnel. Kids five and under get in free. Pit gates open at 10:30 a.m., hot laps follow the mandatory 12:45 p.m. drivers’ meeting and racing starts at 2 p.m. both days.
